A Bad Episode of Phineas and Ferb

Yesterday, it was hot, so we broke out the sprinkler.  Things started out innocently enough, but as with all things that my children do, usually progress into so much more. Clothes were shed, the hose detached.  I wasn’t sure if I should be impressed with their creativity or horrified by Little Lady’s courageousness.  You be the judge.  Witness, the homemade water slide.  Step One:  Wet the slide down. Second son took extra pleasure in this task.  He loves being in control of the hose.Step Two:  Get Ready. Step Three: Go, Go, Go! Step Four:  Get Air. Step Four:  From another, more disturbing angle. Step 5:  Slide three feet across the grass, on your back.
Step Six:  Encouraged by your brothers…Step 7:  Repeat! I like to say that my children are like a bad episode of Phineas and Ferb.  (It’s a show on Disney Channel in case you are unfamiliar.)  Yesterday, I got proof.

I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

  1. Looks a lot like what goes on around here. The there were upstairs playing nicely aka quietly so I should have know better. My oldest came to the landing and told me he didn’t want me to come upstairs into Sophie’s. So I went up stairs and they managed to remove two bars from her crib and she was busy trying to stash them somewhere so I wouldn’t see them. Of course they were broken in half and looked like 4 stakes. This crib made it through 4 1/2 years and 3 kids. It was also a drop side so it can’t be replaced. Luckily she’s about to go into a regular bed as soon as the potty training starts when this last package of diapers is gone next week. I’m trying to get her done before the puppy gets here in July/August. Yeah, I’m crazy too ;o)
